Ada Lubang besar di bawah tebing cadas sementara di bagian atasnya dibangun jalan setapak untuk berkunjung ke pura Batu Bolong. Bagian bawah Batu Bolong akan dipenuhi air pada saat air pasang dan akan terlihat bagian dasarnya sehingga bisa dilewati manusia pada saat air surut. Kami sempat mengunjungi bagian bawah Batu Bolong ketika airnya surut. Pasir Hitam yang berada di bagian bawah Batu memang memberikan kesan tersendiri, terutama dengan background bebatuan cadas di belakangnya.
Seperti lazimnya Pura - Pura dimanapun, Pura Batu Bolong ditutup untuk umum kecuali untuk yang beragam Hindu dan ingin bersembahyang. Alhasil, kami hanya sempat untuk berfoto di depan areal Pura saja, tepat di atas ketinggian Batu Bolong.

Apabila anda mengharapkan untuk dapat mengunjungi Pura ini, sediakanlah waktu lebih banyak selama anda berada di wilayah tanah Lot, selain mengunjungi Tanah Lot dan Berbelanja di Pasar Tanah Lot. Lokasi menuju Pura memang cantik tertata dengan rapi, bahkan di beberapa tempat ada atraksi berfoto dengan ular. perjalanan menuju Pura memang agak sedikit memutar, namun yakinlah, perjalanan anda tidak sia-sia terlebih Pura Batu Bolong terlihat dengan jelas dari Tanah Lot.
